Bpa Free Containers Rubbermaid

What is the best container for freezing and reheating?

I batch cook lunches for my husband and children to take with them to work and school. I portion everything, freeze it, then they reheat it in the same container. Right now I use Gladware, but I keep hearing about how unhealthy it is to microwave certain plastics. I don’t want to spend a ton of money since these containers can be broken or lost by the kids, but I’d rather spend some money than give them something that’s not good for their health – it would totally defeat the purpose of my making these lunches in the first place.

Amazon sells sets of Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids, which are listed as BPA free… Is this good? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Most any container with the food wrapped in foil will preserve and help to protect it from dehydration & freezer burn. I use both the rubbermaid type and zip-lock baggies.

Like that it’s BPA-free and has a super lid

British Petroleum Us Taxes

Oily Mess POLL: Do ya think BP is finally “stepping up to the plate” & taking responsibility?

Saw a commercial last nite where a rep from BP who was born & raised in Louisiana told about the efforts British Petroleum was making to help out the people whose lives will be directly affected by the oil spill – the fisherman, resort owners, etc.

They are paying out claims to those who file from their own pocket, so they say, and have processed over 18,000 claims so far to the tune of millions of $$$. I tend to believe that they ARE trying to turn a very bad situation around. It won’t neccasarily help the ecology – God only knows how long THAT’LL take to recover, but they are making an effort, it seems.

And one that doesn’t involve US tax dollars, either. Your thoughts??

This situation is so God awful I can’t even think about it. I honestly can’t hear about it; it’s too upsetting. I just don’t understand how a company can have a pipeline of flowing oil and have no freaking back up plan in case of emergency. WTF! It’s absurd. I hope and pray they can stop this mess ASAP! It’s a disgrace to the earth, animals, humans, plants, every freaking level of existence!
