replacement Canon Charger CG- 580, does anyone use one that’s not made by canon that they can recommend?
I somehow lost my charger in the midst of traveling. I have a 40D, with a BP-511A battery. I didn’t realize how expensive the charger can be, and was wondering if the non-canon chargers are worth getting (can’t find reviews) or if I should suck it up, and get the canon charger?

I do not have that specific camera, but I never buy replacement chargers or batteries from the manufacturer. They inflate the price so high it is ridiculous. I go on eBay and look there, and pay a few dollars where companies like Canon, Sony, Olympus, etc… would charge over $40 for basically the same items.
Unless you do professional printing, I would recommend the same for printer cartridge replacements.
